The Old Cathedral Voices

Formed in March 2009 from some of Melbourne’s finest choral soloists, The Old Cathedral Voices specialise in one-voice-per-part performance of English Church music from the renaissance to the present day.

Fourteen members of The Old Cathedral Voices sing weekly on a flexible roster at our 10:00am service, directed by Jenny George.

In July 2011 they released their debut CD, A Musical Devotion. This consists of thirteen a capella anthems in English organised according to the flow of an Anglican prayer service. They can be purchased from the church for $15 each.

In July 2013 they released their second CD, Tallis & Byrd, an exploration of music for lower voices (Alto, Tenor and Bass) by those composers. It includes Byrd's Mass for Three Voices and the Tallis Lamentations; along with motets including O Nata Lux; Sing Joyfully; Make ye Joy to God; and If ye love me. They can be purchased from the church for $20 each, or online at CD Baby.
